Raja Casablanca Appoint Fadlu Davids as New Head Coach

Fadlu Davids unveiled as new Raja Casablanca head coach in Botola Pro

Raja Casablanca confirmed the appointment of Fadlu Davids as new head coach on Monday.

The South African tactician succeeds Tunisian trainer Lassaad Chabbi who was relieved of his duties over the weekend.

Davids is no stranger to the Moroccan club, having worked as assistant to German coach Josef Zinnbauer during the club’s remarkable 2023/24 campaign.

Raja clinched both the Botola Pro and the Throne Cup without suffering a single defeat under their stewardship.

Davids moved to Tanzanian powerhouse Simba SC who were reportedly eager to extend his stay.

However, the chance to return to Raja Casablanca proved decisive.

The South African coach agreed terms with Raja shortly after Chabbi’s exit.

The club highlighted Davids’ familiarity with the squad and contribution to last season’s success as key reasons behind his appointment.

“Fadlu Davids played an essential role in the historic 2023/24 double. His deep knowledge of Raja makes him the right candidate to guide the first team,” a club statement read.

“The move is aligned with the club’s broader project to build stability, strengthen cohesion, and pursue both sporting and institutional goals.”

Raja called on their passionate supporters to rally behind Davids as the team embarks on a new era under his leadership.
