Kaizer Chiefs Loan Zwane, Mashiane to Siwelele for game time boost

Kaizer Chiefs duo Samkelo Zwane and Happy Mashiane will spend the rest of the 2025/26 season on loan at newly promoted Siwelele FC.

The move was completed just before the South African transfer window closed on Monday night.

The switch is expected to benefit both players, who came through the Kaizer Chiefs Youth Development Academy.

In a statement, Chiefs confirmed: “We wish both lads all the best for the rest of the season and look forward to welcoming them back to Naturena soon.”

Mashiane, 26, features on the left flank, having played both at left-back and left-wing.

He also brings CAF Champions League experience, which will be crucial for the PSL newcomers.

Zwane, 23, is also regarded as one of South Africa’s brightest midfield prospects.

He was once tipped to cement a permanent place in the Amakhosi starting XI.

He earned regular minutes under coach Nasreddine Nabi earlier this year.

However, inconsistency and limited appearances last season stalled his progress.

At Siwelele, both players will have the opportunity to rebuild confidence and showcase their potential before returning to Naturena.
