Africa’s second-tier club competition is set for another exhilarating chapter.

The full line-up for the 2025/26 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup group stage has been confirmed.

Sixteen teams from fourteen nations sealed qualification after a weekend packed with high drama, late goals, and first-time milestones.

The upcoming group stage will feature a mix of household names. Former champions, and ambitious debutants, all vying for continental glory when the competition resumes in November.

From North Africa, Wydad Casablanca made a powerful statement, sweeping past Asante Kotoko with a 6–1 aggregate victory after a ruthless 5–1 win in the return leg.

Their compatriots OC Safi also reached the group phase for the first time, edging Stade Tunisien 3–2 over two legs.

Egypt will also have double representation as Zamalek SC cruised through with a commanding 7–0 aggregate victory over Dekedda FC, while Al Masry narrowly edged past Al-Ittihad 2–1 in a fierce Libyan derby.

In Algeria, defending champions USM Alger and CR Belouizdad both secured passage after comfortable home victories, continuing the country’s proud record in continental competitions.

Southern Africa’s charge will be led by Kaizer Chiefs, who earned a 3–1 win over AS Simba, and Stellenbosch FC, whose 4–1 triumph over 15 de Agosto marked one of their finest continental performances yet.

West Africa also had reasons to celebrate. San Pedro of Côte d’Ivoire continued their fine run with a 4–1 aggregate victory over Coton FC.

While Nairobi United of Kenya capped their debut campaign in fairytale fashion — eliminating Tunisian giants Etoile du Sahel 7–6 on penalties after a dramatic 2–2 draw.

Completing the line-up are Djoliba AC of Mali, who edged USFA 2–1 on aggregate. And AS Otoho of Congo, who advanced comfortably after a 3–0 aggregate win over Ferroviário Maputo.

The CAF Interclub Group Stage Draw will take place on Monday, November 3, 2025.
