BREAKING: Kaizer Chiefs Parts Ways With Coach Nasreddine Nabi

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the departure of head coach Nasreddine Nabi.

This development brings an end to a turbulent chapter marked by flashes of promise and internal tension.

In a joint statement released on Friday, the club and the Tunisian tactician announced they had mutually agreed to part ways.

“Kaizer Chiefs FC and Head Coach Nasreddine Nabi hereby confirm that, following constructive engagements, they have mutually agreed to conclude their professional relationship on an amicable basis,” the statement read.

The decision comes just weeks after Nabi’s suspension and amid growing uncertainty within the Chiefs camp.

His tenure started with high expectations after a strong preseason and four straight league wins, but the momentum quickly faded following a 3–1 loss to Sekhukhune United.

Since then, tensions have mounted around player discipline, tactical disagreements, and communication breakdowns within the technical team.

Assistant coaches Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef will now lead the side for the remainder of the 2025/26 season, as confirmed by the club’s latest update.

Off-field distractions have already shaken Chief’s season, including the Fiacre Ntwari substitution drama during their Carling Knockout Cup loss to Stellenbosch FC.

A moment many fans saw as symbolic of the instability behind the scenes.

For Nabi, the departure marks another abrupt ending to a tenure that promised much but struggled for consistency.

The former Young Africans and AS FAR boss arrived with an impressive résumé and a clear tactical identity.

Yet internal friction often overshadowed progress on the pitch.

Chiefs now face a defining period. The club must stabilize quickly ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup fixture against AS Simba of DR Congo on 18 October.
