Zambia FA to Host FIFA Club Management Programme in Ndola

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) is stepping up its push for professional football management.
Ndola is set to host the second African edition of the FIFA Club Professionalisation and Management Programme from October 13–14.
FIFA will dispatch experts to guide 50 Zambian administrators through intensive training in governance, finance, strategic planning, marketing and commercialization.
The programme will be rolled out in phases and is expected to eventually reach more than 200 administrators from both men’s and women’s teams.
FAZ General Secretary Machacha Shepande hailed the initiative as a key plank of the association’s reform agenda.
“This programme is critical for building the capacity of our clubs. Football must be managed with professionalism and accountability off the pitch, not just played on it,” he said.
The move aligns with the FAZ Football Reforms Strategy and the 2026–2035 Strategic Vision of president Keith Mweemba’s executive.
Focused on good governance, commercialization, self-reliance and competitiveness.
The ultimate goal is to develop efficient, results-driven clubs capable of lifting Zambian football to world-class levels.
Preparations are already underway, with the first planning meeting for the Ndola workshop held earlier this week.
