Xavi Declines Offer from Spartak Moscow
Former Barcelona manager Xavi has turned down an opportunity to coach in Russia.
Spartak Moscow’s Attempt Falls Short
Spartak Moscow has made efforts to persuade Xavi to re-enter the coaching realm, but their attempts have proven unsuccessful.
According to reports from Metaratings, the initiative was led by their recently appointed sports director, Francis Cagigao, who previously served as Arsenal’s chief scout. However, Xavi has chosen not to engage with this proposal.
Xavi’s Decision
The 2010 FIFA World Cup champion was not swayed by the specifics of Spartak’s project. He has opted to hold out for a coaching role that better matches his football philosophy.
Currently, Dejan Stankovic remains the head coach at Spartak.
