The South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) has taken a major step toward strengthening football development in the country with plans to build a state-of-the-art Technical Centre in Nesitu.

SSFF President Francis Amin Michael and members of the Executive Committee recently visited the proposed site, reaffirming the Federation’s drive to enhance football infrastructure and nurture young talent.

During the visit, Engineer Samwel Jada, Administrative Director of Nesitu, welcomed the delegation and assured full support from local authorities to fast-track the land handover process.

Mr. Amin emphasized that the project aims to create a world class training facility for players and coaches.

“We want this centre to be the foundation for developing the next generation of South Sudanese football stars.”

Construction is expected to begin in early 2026, pending final discussions with FIFA on project implementation and funding.

The SSFF hopes the facility will become a hub for technical excellence, discipline, and teamwork.

While financial and logistical challenges persist, collaboration with FIFA and backing from the local community offer a promising path forward.

The upcoming Technical Centre symbolizes a new era for football in South Sudan. One focused on long-term growth, youth empowerment, and national pride.
