Papagiannopoulos Reflects on Potter’s Journey
Now associated with AIK, Papagiannopoulos, 35, formerly played under Potter at Ostersunds and shared his thoughts during an interview on Fotbollskanalen. He remarked, “The football landscape can be unforgiving. He performed admirably at Brighton, but things have taken a downturn recently at both Chelsea and West Ham. The demands there are significantly different from what he has experienced before.”
Papagiannopoulos also expressed optimism about Potter’s potential role with the national team, stating, “I believe the national team could indeed be an opportunity for him, but not in the Allsvenskan.”
Additionally, he mentioned, “We stay in touch occasionally. I also connect with Billy Reid, who served as an assistant coach. I maintain more regular contact with him.”
