Orlando Pirates Loanee Wins September Player of the Month

Orlando Pirates youngster Tefo Mofokeng continues to make waves beyond South Africa after being named September Player of the Month in the Botswana FNB Premiership.

Currently on loan at Mochudi Centre Chiefs, the talented winger has been one of the standout performers in the league, scoring four goals in eight appearances to help his side climb to second place on the table.

His side are now just a point behind leaders SUA Flamingoes, who have played an extra game.

The award, determined through fan votes on the Strictly Football Podcast, highlights Mofokeng’s growing influence and his impressive start to life in Botswana.

Mofokeng first caught attention while featuring for Pele Pele (now Orlando Pirates’ feeder team) in the Gauteng ABC Motsepe League, before sealing a move to the Centre Chiefs in February.

His consistent displays prompted the club to extend his stay, a decision that is now reaping major rewards.
