January 2026 Transfer Window Overview

The January transfer window of 2026 is set to be another bustling time for football transactions, building on a remarkable summer where Premier League teams collectively invested a staggering £3 billion (approximately $4 billion). This expenditure reached a peak with Liverpool’s significant acquisition of Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak for £125 million (around $169 million). According to finance experts at Deloitte, this summer’s spending surpassed the previous record of £2.36 billion ($3.2 billion) established two summers ago.
