Leipzig Faces Player Setbacks Ahead of Bremen Clash
Injury Update
The 21-year-old attacker, who netted a brace and assisted another goal in Leipzig’s decisive 5-0 victory over Hoffenheim just before the international break, has sustained an injury during his time with Germany’s U21 team.
“Unfortunately, Brajan has come back from the U21 team with groin issues. He will not be available for the match against Bremen, but I am hopeful that he will be ready for the game against Gladbach,” stated RB Leipzig’s head coach Ole Werner during a press briefing on Thursday.
Additional Absences
Werner also indicated that the team’s third-choice goalkeeper, Leopold Zingerle, along with young winger Suleman Sani, will also be sidelined due to their respective injuries.
Positive News
On a brighter note, Yan Diomande has made a complete recovery from the shoulder injury he suffered in the match against Hoffenheim and is available for selection.
“Yan has no issues and is fully fit,” Werner emphasized.
Returning Players
Moreover, both Peter Gulácsi and Assan Ouedraogo are set to rejoin the squad as substitutes, having successfully progressed in their recovery from injuries, confirmed Werner.
