Eintracht Frankfurt Gears Up for Home Match Against 1.FC Köln

Training Begins with Limited Squad

On Wednesday, Eintracht Frankfurt kicked off their preparations for the upcoming home match against 1.FC Köln.

International Duty Affects Player Availability

The squad was far from complete, as eight players were still representing their countries late Tuesday evening and into Wednesday morning in Europe.

The players returning to Frankfurt include Aurèle Amenda, Arthur Theate, Hugo Larsson, Farès Chaibi, Ritsu Doan, Ellyes Skhiri, and Oscar Højlund. Meanwhile, Love Arrhov, who participated in three matches with Sweden’s U19 squad, will have a lighter training program alongside Nathaniel Brown. All players returning, with the exception of Larsson, played in their countries’ concluding matches during the international break. Additionally, Rasmus Kristensen, Nnamdi Collins, Jean-Mattéo Bahoya, and Kaua Santos were engaged in rehabilitation training.

Intensive Training Session

Head coach Albert Riera led a training session with 17 available players, which included three goalkeepers and academy talent Yurij Obert. The session took place close to the Deutsche Bank Park, the venue for the match scheduled for Easter Sunday (kick-off: 17:30 CEST). This encounter will be part of Bundesliga Matchday 28, marking the approach of the final segment of the 2025/26 season.

The Eagles demonstrated strong effort throughout the training, and they have three more full days to refine their strategies for the upcoming clash.
