The third candidate for this prestigious honor was Kylian Mbappé, Dembélé’s teammate on the French national team, who has been making impressive strides with Real Madrid.

Dembélé’s impressive performance included two goals that were vital in leading PSG to the finals of the first-ever 32-team Club World Cup. Over the past season, at 28 years old, he achieved a remarkable total of 35 goals across 53 games in various competitions.
