Celta Vigo Aiming to Reacquire Lopez from Wolves

Lopez’s Short-Lived Spell in England May End Soon

Transfer Details

The young Spanish forward was transferred from Celta to Wolves this summer for a fee of €23 million.

Seeking a Loan Move

Unfortunately, Lopez’s transition to English football has not gone as planned, and Wolves are reportedly considering loaning him out in January, according to AS.

Currently, Celta’s management has initiated discussions with both Wolves and Lopez about a possible return to Vigo for the latter half of the season.

Coach’s Support

Celta’s manager, Claudio Giraldez, who previously coached Lopez during his time with the B team, expressed his wishes for the player’s return, stating, “I didn’t want him to leave and, obviously, I’d like him to come back.”

Lopez’s current contract with Celta extends until 2030.
