Zamalek Hit With Fresh FIFA Blow As Transfer Bans Mount

A new three-window registration ban has placed Zamalek SC under pressure, with the latest ruling appearing on FIFA’s disciplinary portal dated 24 November 2025.

This fresh punishment becomes the club’s fifth active case, compounding months of financial instability and unresolved administrative disputes.

Although the identity of the complainant has not yet been disclosed, the matter again revolves around unpaid financial responsibilities.

Before this sanction, the club was already serving bans linked to outstanding wages owed to assistants of former manager José Gomes, with Egyptian reports estimating their dues at $60,000 to $70,000 plus accumulated interest.

Each of those sanctions will be lifted immediately once the club settles the arrears, and the same condition applies to the newest decision.

The November ruling marks the fourth time this month that Zamalek have appeared on FIFA’s sanctions list.

Meanwhile on the pitch, the White Knights managed to begin their CAF Confederation Cup campaign with a narrow 1–0 win over ZESCO United.

Their attention now shifts to a demanding trip to South Africa for a Group D clash with Kaizer Chiefs.

In domestic competition, Zamalek sit third in the league table with 22 points, trailing leaders Al Masry by seven, although the leaders have played an extra match.
