Wrexham Decides Against Signing Dele Alli
Wrexham has opted not to pursue a deal for Dele Alli.
Recently released from his contract at Como during the preseason, Alli has been training independently as he looks for a new team.
Wrexham’s Interest in Alli
Championship side Wrexham had been rumored to be interested in the ex-Tottenham and Everton midfielder.
This speculation arose when the Welsh club intentionally left one position vacant in their 24-man squad for the Championship.
According to the Daily Express, Alli was indeed a consideration, but that available slot has now been filled by Oliver Rathbone, who was named last season’s Player of the Year.
Rathbone, a former Manchester United trainee, missed the initial part of the season due to an ankle injury but is now ready to make his comeback.
