Wolves Set Sights on Man City Discard Phillips
Wolves Eyeing Move for Man City Midfielder Kalvin Phillips
Wolves are reportedly considering making a bid for forgotten Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
A Struggling Tenure at Man City
Phillips made the switch to Manchester City from his childhood team Leeds United in 2022, but has only appeared in 32 matches across all competitions for Pep Guardiola’s squad.
Limited Opportunities and Transfer Challenges
The midfielder was unable to secure a transfer last summer after a disappointing loan period at Ipswich. However, he did make a brief appearance, playing seven minutes in the League Cup match against Huddersfield earlier this season.
Wolves’ Plans Amid Player Departures
As per a report from the Daily Mail, relegation-threatened Wolves are looking to provide Phillips with an opportunity to rejuvenate his career. It is understood that Rob Edwards’ team is preparing for a future without Joao Gomes and Andre, both of whom have drawn interest from other clubs.
