Wolves Fer Lopez Set for Loan Release After Proving His Dedication and Effort
Wolves Forward Fer Lopez Poised for January Loan Move
Wolves striker Fer Lopez is expected to leave the club on loan this January as he continues to face difficulties on the pitch.
Manager’s Insights on Lopez’s Performance
Following the loss to Arsenal, manager Rob Edwards was questioned regarding Lopez’s struggles and his waning confidence in scoring.
“Strikers can experience phases like this. He recently netted a fantastic goal against Villa, which unfortunately was ruled out for offside,” he explained.
“He is putting in immense effort and dedication for the team, and if he continues to work hard, positive outcomes will follow.”
Despite Edwards’s optimism regarding the 21-year-old, the ExpressAndStar reports that Lopez is likely to head out on loan in January after a disappointing start at Molineux, having failed to score in seven Premier League matches.
Celta Vigo’s Interest in Lopez
Last month, Celta Vigo’s coach, Claudio Giraldez, commented on the possibility of bringing Lopez back to the club. He shared how much they would appreciate having him return.
“We would certainly welcome him back. He fits our needs perfectly. We have shown our interest, but it appears to be a challenge. They invested a significant sum in him very recently,” he said.
“Our squad is currently at full capacity with 25 players. If we manage to let go of a few, acquiring a talent like Fer López, or someone with similar qualities, would be very appealing.”
Wolves invested approximately £19 million to secure the promising Spanish forward, marking him as their first acquisition of the summer transfer window, but this move has yet to yield results.
