Wolves Boss Jackson Acknowledges Shortcomings in Summer Transfer Window
Wolves Acknowledge Summer Signing Blunders
Admission of Mistakes
Wolves’ technical director, Matt Jackson, has conceded that the club did not execute their transfer strategy effectively during the summer.
New Arrivals Lack Experience
This season, Wolves brought in six new players, including Fer Lopez, Jhon Arias, Tolu Arokodare, David Moller Wolfe, Jackson Tchatchoua, and Ladislav Krejci, none of whom possessed Premier League experience at the time of signing.
Unacceptable Performance
In a candid interview on BBC Radio WM, Jackson reflected on the current performance, stating, “The players we brought in were intended for specific reasons, but with only two points accrued so far, we must recognize that something is amiss. Our starting lineup has simply not met expectations.”
Optimism for Development
Jackson expressed optimism regarding the potential of the new recruits, saying, “We have significant faith in their ability to grow. Their willingness to improve has been impressive, yet we are eager for more immediate results.”
Challenges in the Market
Addressing the difficulties in the transfer market, he noted, “Given our financial constraints, identifying suitable players is challenging. We are actively seeking talent in areas where other clubs may not be looking.”
