Warnock Calls on Liverpool to Pursue Timber: The Premier Leagues Top Right Back!

Liverpool Urged to Pursue Arsenal’s Jurrien Timber

Former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock has called on the club to consider a transfer for Arsenal’s Jurrien Timber.

Liverpool’s Goal-Scoring Surge

The current Premier League champions have netted 26 goals this season, outpacing all other teams in the top five of the standings.

Liverpool aims to bolster their defense when the January transfer window opens. With ongoing links to several players, including Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi, Warnock has shared his perspective on the ideal candidate for the defensive lineup.

Could Liverpool Land Timber?

After Liverpool’s recent victory over Wolves, Warnock expressed concerns regarding the effectiveness of the team’s right-back options, including Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley.

“In evaluating Liverpool’s defense, it seems essential for them to acquire both a center back and a right back,” he stated. “Currently, they rely on Frimpong, Gomez, and Bradley—all of whom have struggled with injuries and lack the durability needed for consistent play.”

He added, “This presents a significant challenge for Liverpool. The team performs better with a dependable right back, which in turn enhances the team balance and allows players like Szoboszlai to operate effectively in midfield. Hence, securing a specialist right back is as crucial as acquiring a center back.”

“If I had my way, Jurrien Timber would be my top choice, though I doubt Arsenal would agree to let him go.”

“He is, without a doubt, the premier right back in the league. His ability to handle one-on-one situations is outstanding, and since recovering from his ACL injury, he has demonstrated remarkable resilience.”

Liverpool’s recent form includes three consecutive league victories, positioning them fourth in the Premier League as they strive to close the gap on leaders Arsenal. However, it is unlikely that Arsenal will allow Timber to leave, especially as they pursue the title while fending off rivals for top talent.
