New Tournament Dates Announced
The West African Football Union Zone B (WAFU B) has revealed updated dates for the second edition of the WAFU B U-20 Girls Cup. The event is now set to take place from November 7 to 12, 2025, in Benin.
Adjustment Reasons
Initially planned for November 3 to 10, this shift aims to enhance preparation and participation levels for the nations involved in the tournament.
Confirmed Participating Nations
So far, three countries have officially committed to the competition:
- Benin (host nation);
- Nigeria;
- Ghana (defending champions).
Ghana’s Title Defense
Ghana’s U-20 team will enter the tournament with aspirations of defending their title, having won the first edition held in Kumasi, where they overcame Nigeria in a nail-biting final that concluded 3-1 on penalties.
