Virgili, aged 20, is establishing himself in his debut season at the senior level after transferring to Mallorca for €3.5 million a year ago.

Reflections on Leaving Barca

Upon his departure from Barcelona last summer, he expressed: “When I joined the first team’s preseason, I was hopeful to go on tour and demonstrate my abilities or at least get a chance to play with the first team, but that never materialized.”

He also mentioned, “If Deco (Barca’s sporting director) were to reach out to me, it would be incredibly hard to decline.”

Virgili currently has a contract with Mallorca that extends until 2030.
