Villa Secures Deal for Abraham
Aston Villa Secures Tammy Abraham Transfer from Besiktas
Permanent Move Finalized
Aston Villa has officially announced the acquisition of Tammy Abraham on a permanent transfer from the Turkish club Besiktas.
The 28-year-old striker had been on loan at Besiktas, originating from Italian team Roma. Following the loan period, Besiktas exercised their option to purchase him and subsequently sold him to Aston Villa for an estimated fee of £18.25 million.
Familiar Face Returns
Abraham has a history with Aston Villa, having played a significant role in their promotion from the Championship during his loan spell from Chelsea in the 2018-2019 season.
He joins the club on a four-and-a-half-year contract, marking his return to English football after moving to Roma in 2021.
Manager’s Vision
It is reported that Villa’s manager, Unai Emery, advocated for the signing of a new striker to bolster support for Ollie Watkins, with Abraham being a player Emery has admired for an extended period.
