The former Swedish international shared his thoughts with Flashscore, stating, “I had conversations with Barcelona about him while I was there. They requested a list of strikers, and I put Alexander Isak on it. Robert Lewandowski was also mentioned, but ultimately, the decision wasn’t mine.”

He continued, “Isak has shown his potential since he was 15 years old. Competing at Newcastle can be challenging, yet he performed exceptionally well. His move to Liverpool is simply the next chapter in his career.”
