TP Mazembe Storm Into CAF Women’s Champions League Semi-Finals

TP Mazembe secured their spot in the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League semi-finals after a 4–1 win against Tanzania’s JKT Queens on the final day of Group B action.

JKT Queens opened the scoring early through Stumai Athumani in the 12th minute, but Mazembe responded quickly, Marlene Yav Kasaj converting a penalty in the 23rd minute to level the scores.

Nigeria international Oluwayemis Samuel then put the holders ahead with a smart finish six minutes later.

Just before half-time, Ghana’s Grace Acheampong made it 3–1 in stoppage time, giving Mazembe control heading into the break.

The Congolese side managed the second half expertly, and Yav Kasaj sealed her brace with a second penalty to wrap up a dominant performance.

The win lifts Mazembe to six points, ensuring second place in Group B behind ASEC Mimosas, who topped the section with seven points after defeating Gaborone United 4–0.

JKT Queens finish third with two points, while Gaborone United are bottom.

Elsewhere in Group A, AS FAR recorded a 2–0 victory over Angolan side 15 de Agosto, confirming their place in the semi-finals at the top of the group.

Hosts Masar secured a vital 1–1 draw against USFAS Bamako to finish second, also advancing to the knockout stages.

Ivorian debutants ASEC Mimosas and Masar join TP Mazembe and AS FAR in the last four.
