Despite the competition, Tottenham are prepared to activate Semenyo’s buyout clause, which becomes valid in January.
Initial interest in Semenyo surfaced during the summer transfer window, but moves were previously deterred by Bournemouth’s high asking price, reported to be between £80 million and £90 million.
With the buyout clause now set at £65 million, Tottenham are ready to meet this valuation. However, they will still need to persuade Semenyo to commit to the move to North London.
