Limited Involvement Despite Reintegration

Timo Werner has been technically reinstated into Ole Werner’s squad; however, he has only been included in three matchday rosters across the 14 rounds of the current season. In Leipzig’s recent away loss to Union Berlin, which ended 3-1, Werner made his second appearance this season as a substitute. On both occasions—matchday five and matchday fourteen—he was brought on as a late substitute, well after the 90-minute mark when the outcome was largely decided.
