“This Has Changed My Life” – Hakimi Reflects on Ongoing Rape Allegations

Paris Saint-Germain and Morocco defender Achraf Hakimi has broken his silence on the rape allegations against him, revealing how the ordeal has profoundly affected not just his life but also that of his family and young children.
Speaking candidly in an interview with Canal+ France, Hakimi described the situation as the most difficult experience he has ever faced.
“This is the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through,” he said, explaining that the public accusations and media scrutiny have taken an emotional toll on those closest to him.
The 25-year-old defender, widely regarded as one of Africa’s top footballers, has faced legal proceedings since 2023 when a woman accused him of sexual assault.
According to French newspaper Le Parisien, prosecutors are now considering sending the case to trial.
The complainant alleged that Hakimi touched and kissed her without consent before “forcing himself on her.”
She initially reported the incident to police but did not file a formal complaint right away.
Hakimi, who has consistently denied the accusations, maintains that the claims are false and has cooperated fully with investigators throughout the process.
He has also spoken about how the situation has reshaped his outlook on trust and relationships, saying that the experience has forced him to protect his private life and inner circle more carefully.
While the case remains ongoing, the Moroccan star says his main concern is the well-being of his family, stressing that false allegations can leave lasting emotional scars far beyond the football pitch.
