Strasbourgs Rosenior Addresses Speculations Regarding Chelsea Links: Numerous Rumors Persist
Liam Rosenior Distances Himself from Chelsea Speculation
Strasbourg’s head coach, Liam Rosenior, has made it clear that he is not pursuing the managerial role at Chelsea.
Rosenior Emerges as Front-runner
Following the departure of Enzo Maresca from Chelsea last Thursday, Rosenior has been viewed as a leading candidate for the position.
Given that both Chelsea and Strasbourg are under the ownership of BlueCo, many see Rosenior as a fitting successor, particularly after the commendable job he has done with the Ligue 1 team over the last year and a half.
Focused on the Current Task
In a press conference before the upcoming match against Nice, Rosenior was questioned about the speculations surrounding Chelsea. He emphasized, “I’ll be focusing on Nice because that’s my responsibility.
“There’s a lot of noise and speculation, but engaging in that as a coach can lead to failure. My commitment is here, and I have a deep affection for this club.”
Rosenior added, “No, I haven’t mentioned it to the players. There hasn’t been a need for that; we’ve shared a few light moments. However, our focus remains on our work. Our aim is to keep building something special here.”
He continued, “In life, nothing is certain. You never know what tomorrow may hold. I’m dedicated to my role. Speculation has already arisen, and while I can’t promise how long I’ll be here, I enjoy every moment and intend to keep doing so. I love this club, but guarantees are elusive. No one can provide those.”
Commitment to Strasbourg
Rosenior reiterated, “I want to fulfill my role here, that’s straightforward. The reality is I am the manager of Strasbourg, and my attention is solely on this position.”
He acknowledged that while there is interaction between the two clubs due to their shared ownership, “I’m being honest; one can’t control everything in life. I could make grand statements about staying here for years, only to be dismissed unexpectedly.”
