Dani Carvajal Faces a Month on the Sidelines Due to Injury
Real Madrid’s captain, Dani Carvajal, is set to miss around a month of action following an injury sustained during the derby defeat to Atletico Madrid on Saturday.
Derby Disappointment for Real Madrid
Atletico Madrid delivered a crushing 5-2 victory over Real Madrid at the Metropolitano Stadium, with Carvajal being substituted after 59 minutes of play.
Injury Update
It has been confirmed that Carvajal has sustained a calf strain, which will see him out of action for approximately 4 to 6 weeks. This is a setback for him, especially considering he made a successful recovery from an ACL injury last summer.
Impact on the Team
The absence of Carvajal poses a significant challenge for Real Madrid’s head coach, Xabi Alonso, particularly since another fullback, Trent Alexander-Arnold, is also currently injured.
