Pape Thiaw Names 26-Man Senegal Squad For World Cup Qualifiers

Senegal coach Pape Thiaw has released his squad for this month’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The Lions of Teranga travel to Juba to face South Sudan on October 10 before hosting Mauritania four days later in Dakar.

Senegal currently lead CAF Group B with two games remaining and know victories in both fixtures will seal their place at the 2026 World Cup.

This would mark the nation’s fourth World Cup appearance after reaching the quarter-finals in 2002 and featuring again in 2018 and 2022.

Chelsea goalkeeper Édouard Mendy headlines the list, alongside captain Kalidou Koulibaly, Tottenham’s Pape Matar Sarr, and talisman Sadio Mané.

Other notable inclusions are Nicolas Jackson, Boulaye Dia, and Ismaila Sarr in attack.

The South Sudan clash kicks off at 13:00 GMT, with the Mauritania game following on October 14 in Dakar.
