Schuster Advises Ter Stegen to Consider January Move

Former Barcelona player Bernd Schuster is recommending that goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen seek a transfer in January.

As Ter Stegen recuperates from his back surgery, there is a possibility that he could become the third-choice keeper upon his return, as coach Hansi Flick has expressed confidence in Joan Garcia and Wojciech Szczesny, placing them above Ter Stegen.

Schuster believes that Ter Stegen’s next destination does not necessarily need to be a top-tier club. He suggested, “A competitive Bundesliga team, where he can secure regular playing time, would be an excellent fit since that’s what he requires at this point in his career.”
