Paul Scholes Suggests Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in Talks with Rangers
Manchester United icon Paul Scholes has suggested that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may have had discussions regarding the managerial position at Rangers.
Rangers Seeking New Leadership
Following the recent sacking of Russell Martin, Rangers are currently without a manager. There were rumors of Liverpool great Steven Gerrard being approached for a second term, but he opted out of consideration on Saturday.
Insights from the Podcast
During an episode of The Good, The Bad and The Football podcast, Scholes shared: “I met someone recently who mentioned they were going to meet with Rangers.”
“I can’t confirm if that meeting actually took place as I was told that in confidence. His name hasn’t come up publicly, and he might not be pursuing it after all.”
“They reached out to him, and he was supposed to meet in London the next day.”
Teammate Nicky Butt chimed in: “You’re referring to Ole Solskjaer, right?”
Scholes responded: “No, I can’t comment on that.”
Solskjaer is currently available after being let go by Besiktas last month.
