Fabian Schar Expresses Desire to Extend Career at Newcastle United

Newcastle United’s defender, Fabian Schar, has expressed his wish to continue his career at St James’ Park.

The experienced Swiss international’s current contract is set to conclude at the season’s end.

Schar’s Commitment to the Club

Schar, 34, shared his feelings in an interview with ChronicleLive: “I’ve mentioned before that this place feels like home for me. In football, however, things can change rapidly.”

“If an extension is possible, that would be fantastic. I would certainly be open to it. We will have to see what unfolds in the upcoming weeks.”

“I’ll focus on showcasing my abilities, and then we will see how things pan out.”

Schar further noted: “I believe I’ve consistently demonstrated my value during my time here, so I will continue to contribute. I’ve faced some misfortune with the concussion incident against Barcelona, which sidelined me while the team was thriving.”

Schar acknowledged the strong competition within the squad, stating, “We possess immense quality, and I understand it’s a challenge for the manager. The only thing I can do is to deliver my best performances.”
