Sarri Weighs Choices with Lazio Due to Fiorentinas Interest

Maurizio Sarri Evaluates Future at Lazio

Discontent Over Transfer Activity

The experienced manager is feeling let down by the inactivity during the current transfer window, following a similar situation last summer after his return to Lazio.

Promises of Support

According to Il Messaggero, club president Claudio Lotito and sporting director Angelo Fabiani assured Sarri that January would bring new signings to address the stagnation of the previous summer’s transfer window. Sarri, who is also attracting interest from Fiorentina, is inclined to accept their promises, potentially overlooking past disappointments, including a second-place finish in a distinctly different environment and an early exit planned for 2024.

Rising Tensions

However, the current relationship appears to be strained once again, primarily due to issues surrounding the transfer market and the strategic direction of the team’s project.

At present, Sarri does not wish to resign from his position. Nevertheless, he is giving serious thought to departing at the end of the season if the commitments made by the club are not fulfilled.
