Mohamed Salah has added another milestone to his glittering Premier League career, moving into the division’s top 10 assist providers of all time.
The Egyptian forward reached the mark during Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Everton in the Merseyside derby on Saturday.
Salah’s vision unlocked the Toffees’ defence in the 12th minute, lofting a precise ball over the top for Ryan Gravenberch, who calmly finished to open the scoring at Anfield.
That moment of creativity brought Salah’s Premier League assist tally to 89, drawing him level with former teammate James Milner in joint-ninth place.
While Salah is still a significant distance from Ryan Giggs’ remarkable record of 162 assists.
His rise into the top 10 underlines his status as one of the most complete forwards of his era, not only a prolific goalscorer but also a consistent creator.
Premier League’s All-Time Top 5 Assist Providers (as of September 2025):
1. Ryan Giggs – 162
2. Kevin De Bruyne – 121
3. Cesc Fàbregas – 111
4. Wayne Rooney – 103
5. Frank Lampard – 102
Salah’s next target will be to surpass Milner outright and close in on Steven Gerrard (92), David Silva (93) and Dennnis Bergkamp (94) who currently sit higher up the chart.
With plenty of football still ahead for the 33-year-old, he could yet climb further and cement his legacy.
Not only as one of Liverpool’s greatest players, but also as one of the Premier League’s finest all-round attackers.
