Former AC Milan Coach Envisions Zidane’s Return to Juventus
Former AC Milan manager Arrigo Sacchi expressed his desire to see Zinedine Zidane take the helm at Juventus.
Zidane Open to Future Coaching Roles
During the recent Trento Sports Festival, Zidane hinted at the possibility of coaching Juve down the line.
Sacchi’s Thoughts on Zidane’s Potential Return
Sacchi questioned, “Why is a coach who has built such an incredible team not currently active in coaching?” He acknowledged Zidane’s ambitions of becoming the national team coach for France, a goal that is completely understandable given his illustrious playing career. As a player, Zidane was celebrated for leading France to both World and European Championship victories.
He further shared with La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Nonetheless, I do hold some hope. Zidane was an iconic player for Juventus, a champion in the black and white colors, and he had the guidance of Marcello Lippi, which he followed closely. So, why not envision him in charge of Juventus? Not at this moment, though—it wouldn’t be fair to (Igor) Tudor and the work he’s doing.”
The Impact of Zidane on Serie A
Sacchi elaborated, “It would be fantastic to have someone like Zidane, who has always favored attacking play and values teamwork, enter Serie A. His involvement would undoubtedly enhance our league. Plus, having Zidane as Juve’s coach would infuse a sense of passion into modern football, which sometimes feels absent. Think about it, Zizou.”
