Rudiger Suffers Thigh Injury Ahead of LaLiga Match
Injury Update from Real Madrid
Real Madrid announced on Friday that defender Antonio Rudiger has sustained a left thigh injury.
Rudiger, who participated in both of Germany’s recent World Cup qualifying games, was left off the roster for Saturday’s LaLiga fixture against Real Sociedad, according to reports from Spanish media.
Medical Evaluation Results
In a statement, Real Madrid revealed, “After thorough examinations by the club’s medical team, Toni Rüdiger has been diagnosed with an injury involving the rectus femoris muscle in his left leg.”
The club did not specify the duration of Rudiger’s absence from the field.
Previous Health Issues
The 32-year-old player had previously undergone knee surgery in April due to a partial tear in his meniscus. He made his comeback in June during the Club World Cup after recovering from that injury.
