Strasbourg Coach Set to Join Chelsea with Key Team Members
Announcement of New Leadership Role
In a press briefing held this morning in France, Liam Rosenior, the current head coach of Strasbourg, disclosed his plans to assume the managerial position at Chelsea.
Staff Transition to London
During the conference, Rosenior also shared details about his coaching staff that will accompany him to Chelsea.
Key Staff Members Joining Rosenior
- Kalifa Cisse (Assistant Coach)
- Justin Walker (Assistant Coach)
- Ben Warner (Head of Analysis)
The new Chelsea manager expressed his gratitude towards his support team, stating, “I owe my current position to my remarkable staff.” He also acknowledged the challenge of leaving behind his team at Strasbourg, emphasizing, “I’m parting with many talented individuals, but I’m pleased to bring in a strong group.”
Rosenior highlighted his deep respect for his assistant Kalifa Cisse, remarking, “I have never encountered someone with such high emotional intelligence. Unfortunately for Strasbourg, he will be joining me in London.”
Acceptance of Chelsea’s Offer
Reflecting on his decision to take up the Chelsea role, Rosenior mentioned, “I could not have accepted this opportunity unless I felt adequately prepared.” He noted that some clubs are simply too significant to disregard, adding, “I trust that the Strasbourg fans recognize the value of this move. Outside PSG, if Chelsea comes calling for a coach, most will choose to accept.”
He concluded by expressing pride in Strasbourg’s progress, asserting, “It is remarkable to think how far Strasbourg has developed, and it is with the utmost respect that I am making this transition.”
