Vitor Roque Eyes European Comeback
Adjusting His Career With Palmeiras
Former Barcelona forward Vitor Roque is gearing up for a potential return to Europe. Currently back in Brazil with Palmeiras, Roque has experienced a resurgence in form over recent months. His agent reports that he is receiving interest from several clubs across Europe as the January transfer window approaches.
Increased Interest from Europe
André Cury, Roque’s agent, has confirmed that the player’s recent performances have caught the attention of major European clubs.
We have been inundated with inquiries from various Premier League and Serie A teams lately,
he shared with Globo Esporte.
They are inquiring about his valuation and the conditions for a transfer, but we are currently in the middle of the season.
Cury also disclosed some financial background:
We received a bid from a club in the Arab world for €35m, which we declined. Now, we are anticipating an offer close to €50m from an English side.
Taking Time to Consider Options
Nevertheless, there is no urgency for a move. The agent emphasized that the player is content in Brazil and that any forthcoming decision will be made with careful thought.
In February, Palmeiras secured 80% of Roque’s rights for €25.5m plus €5m in bonuses, setting a record as the most expensive transfer in the club’s history.
Cury concluded,
Our main aim is to clinch the Brasileirão and the Copa Libertadores. If a suitable offer arises, we will assess it. For now, Vitor Roque is fulfilled and concentrating on his commitments with Palmeiras.
