Cristiano Ronaldo Reveals His Affinity for Arsenal

Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his admiration for Arsenal.

The seasoned player at Al-Nassr came very close to joining Arsenal when Arsene Wenger was at the helm, but ultimately chose to sign with Manchester United, who secured him prior to Arsenal.

Ronaldo’s Remarks on Arsenal

In a recent appearance on the Piers Morgan show, Ronaldo stated, “To be truthful, when I think of Arsenal, I don’t categorize them as an adversary; I was nearly part of that team. Therefore, I can’t claim to have a deep passion for the club.”

He further added, “Yet, when I observe Arsenal, I appreciate their squad, and I feel pleased when they succeed because of their rich history.”

Reflecting on His Career Choices

Recalling the missed opportunity to join the Gunners, Ronaldo noted, “In life and football, it’s all about seizing opportunities and timing. There was a chance for me to join Manchester United, and I accepted it. However, to be candid, I was very close to being an Arsenal player.”
