RB Leipzig Players Train Separately Due to Injuries
Individual Training for Rômulo and Gulácsi
RB Leipzig has announced that Rômulo and Péter Gulácsi trained separately on Sunday. Both players participated in Saturday’s training session but had to leave early due to discomfort.
Injury Concerns
Rômulo experienced ankle pain following a challenge, while Gulácsi is dealing with a knee issue. In addition to these two, Antonio Nusa and Johan Bakayoko are also training individually. This situation leaves Leipzig with a depleted attacking lineup, particularly with Yan Diomande away at the Africa Cup of Nations with the Ivory Coast. This means that Conrad Harder is the only established forward available for coach Ole Werner.
Short-Term Outlook
Despite the absence of these four players during practices, Kicker reports that there are no long-term concerns about their injuries.
Lukas Klostermann’s Absence
RB Leipzig has also confirmed that defender Lukas Klostermann is not part of their training camp in Almancil due to illness.
Upcoming Match
Finding themselves twelve points behind league leaders Bayern Munich, Leipzig will begin the new year with a match against St. Pauli on January 10.
