The chief of AS Roma, Ricky Massara, has revealed that the club opted not to pursue Jadon Sancho before he secured his loan to Aston Villa from Manchester United.

In an interview with DAZN, Massara stated: “Considering Sancho, it was an option on the table, but there weren’t compelling reasons to bring him to Roma. Our attacking lineup is quite robust, featuring players like (Artem) Dovbyk, and we believe we can perform effectively with our current squad.”

He further addressed Lorenzo Pellegrini’s status, mentioning: “Firstly, we understand that football is highly unpredictable, and circumstances can change quickly.
