Initially, Zirkzee was anticipated to finalize a transfer to Roma shortly, but the situation is now uncertain due to this managerial shift.

Massara’s Insights

Massara commented to Sky Italia, “Zirkzee is a forward from Manchester United who draws interest from multiple clubs, not exclusively ours.”

He elaborated, “The dynamics have naturally shifted with this change in leadership. Currently, there aren’t any ongoing discussions, so it’s best not to fixate on specific players.”

Focus on Squad Improvement

He emphasized the importance of the transfer window, stating, “This is a crucial time for us to enhance our squad, particularly in areas where we have struggled to convert opportunities into goals. We aim to capitalize on this chance.”

Massara reflected on the club’s long-term strategy, remarking, “We initiated a renewal process over the summer, anticipating that it would require time and multiple transfer periods to fully realize. There are several objectives that are not urgent but present valuable opportunities.”

He also reminded everyone, “Let’s not overlook that this team had a highly competitive 2025 season, and we want to maintain that momentum. Given the congested schedule, coupled with injuries, international call-ups, and even bouts of illness, it may appear that our squad is not at its strongest.
