Roma Accepts Dybalas Likely Departure at Seasons Conclusion
Paulo Dybala’s Future at AS Roma Uncertain as Management Braces for Departure
Management Prepared to Let Dybala Go
The leadership at AS Roma is coming to terms with the likelihood of losing Paulo Dybala when the current season concludes.
Dybala, whose contract expires in June, is appealing to Roma for a potential extension, but a significant reduction in salary will be necessary for this to materialize.
Financial Constraints and Future Offers
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Dybala currently has an annual salary of €8.5 million, supplemented by bonuses. However, management has indicated that their new wage ceiling stands at €4 million per year, representing a staggering decrease of more than 50% from his existing deal.
Roma intends to present Dybala with an offer capped at this maximum (€4 million per year) along with opportunities for bonuses in the future. In a contrast to Dybala’s situation, there is a belief that Lorenzo Pellegrini, another midfielder facing contract expiration, is more likely to remain with the team. Pellegrini is expected to be offered €3 million annually, plus additional bonuses.
Interest from Other Clubs
Among those keen to secure Dybala’s services are Boca Juniors, who are making efforts to bring him back to Argentina this summer.
