Rodrygo Goes Affirms Commitment to Real Madrid
Summer Transfer Plans
Rodrygo Goes has confirmed that his primary intention this summer was to remain with Real Madrid. Despite interest from clubs like Manchester City, Chelsea, and Arsenal, the young forward ultimately chose to continue his journey with Los Blancos when the transfer window closed.
Embracing a New Role
Initially facing challenges under coach Xabi Alonso, Rodrygo has established himself as a key player early in the new season.
The Brazilian winger reflected in an interview with AS: “Every summer, the situation is similar for me, with speculation about my future and various clubs being mentioned. If I had followed all the reports, I’d have been linked to multiple teams every week. Naturally, there are offers, and I’m not denying that.”
Commitment to Success
Rodrygo emphasized his dedication to Real Madrid, stating, “I have consistently communicated to the club my desire to succeed here further. At my age, winning two Champions League titles is significant, yet I aspire for even more trophies in this jersey.”
He added, “I’ve always maintained: ‘As long as Real Madrid wants me, I will stay.’ Should the club ever indicate that I need to find another team, I would accept that. However, that hasn’t occurred. The club has always expressed their confidence in me. Even when I faced challenges, they supported me. There were speculations because I remained silent, but I was certain of my plans for this season with Real Madrid, and I’m focused on delivering my best performance.”
A Calm Mindset
Rodrygo reassured fans by stating, “I haven’t let any rumors disturb me. I remained composed, and here I am… just like always. This marks my seventh season with the team.”
