Rodrygo Goes Confirms Commitment to Real Madrid
Rodrygo Goes asserts that his intention for the summer was consistently to remain with Real Madrid.
While his agents entertained discussions with clubs like Manchester City, Chelsea, and Arsenal during the summer transfer period, Rodrygo ultimately chose to remain with Real Madrid as the transfer window closed.
Strong Start Under New Management
After some initial uncertainty regarding his relationship with new coach Xabi Alonso, Rodrygo has established himself as a key player in the early weeks of the new season.
Rodrygo Reflects on Transfer Speculation
In a conversation with AS, Rodrygo stated, “Every summer, I face the same situation. Whether rumors about my departure or interest from different teams arise, it seems I’m linked with a new club every week if I paid attention to the media. Naturally, there are always offers, and I won’t deny that.”
“However, I have consistently communicated to the club my desire to continue achieving success here. Winning two Champions League titles at my age is significant, but I aspire to win even more European trophies in this jersey.”
“I’ve always maintained: ‘As long as Real Madrid wants me, I will stay.’ If, at some point, the club tells me, ‘Rodry, find another team,’ I would acknowledge that.”
Loyalty and Focus on the Season Ahead
Rodrygo noted, “That conversation has yet to take place. The club has always indicated that they value my presence. Whenever I faced challenges, they supported me. While rumors circulated, I remained silent. However, I was certain of my commitment to Real Madrid this season, and I am focused on contributing my best.”
“I wasn’t troubled by the speculation. I stayed composed, and here I am… as always. This marks my seventh season with the club.”
