Borussia Dortmund has not disclosed specifics regarding the length of Reggiani’s new contract. His previous deal was set to expire in 2027, and now, the club has confirmed that he is “secured for the long term.” BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl remarked, “He possesses not only outstanding qualities but also significant potential. We are committed to helping him realize that potential.”

In a club interview, Reggiani expressed his excitement, stating, “Playing at Signal Iduna Park has always been my dream. Now, as I extend my contract, I feel immense happiness. BVB is one of the world’s most prestigious clubs, and I did not hesitate when I was offered the chance to renew.”

Path to the First Team

Reggiani moved from the U17 squad of Serie A team Sassuolo Calcio to Borussia Dortmund in February 2024. He successfully advanced through the club’s U17 and U19 teams, ultimately reaching the first team. He made his Bundesliga debut in a 2-1 victory against VfL Wolfsburg in February 2026. His first significant moment came a week later when he replaced Niklas Süle, who was sidelined due to injury.
