Reflo Ghana Inspires Young Women Footballers Through Breast Cancer Awareness Program

Reflo Ghana Limited Collaborates with GFA for Breast Cancer Awareness Initiative

Partnership to Empower Young Female Athletes

Reflo Ghana Limited has teamed up with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to drive awareness about breast cancer during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This initiative aims to empower young female athletes at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence located in Prampram.

Educational Session on Health and Hygiene

During the event, Rebecca Osam, the CEO of Reflo Ghana Limited, led the players in a session on self-examination for breast health, underscoring the significance of regular check-ups and personal hygiene practices, particularly during menstruation.

Inspirational Message from the CEO

Rebecca Osam motivated the young athletes with her remarks about women’s empowerment, stating, “I stand firmly in support of women’s empowerment and feel excited to engage with young girls who are passionate about football.”

She also emphasized the importance of the procedures demonstrated, saying, “As Breast Cancer Awareness Month is underway, I encourage you to take the exercises we’ve shown seriously and incorporate them into your routine to spot any unusual symptoms early. Early detection is crucial, so take this chance to understand your body better.”

Moreover, she acknowledged that athletes often compete during their menstrual cycles and highlighted the need for education on maintaining hygiene. “To support you, we’re providing quality sanitary pads from Reflo Limited, ensuring you can concentrate on your game without distractions,” she added.

Donation of Sanitary Pads

As part of their initiative, Reflo Ghana Limited distributed sanitary pads to the U15 Elite Girls team at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence.
