Real Madrid in Verbal Agreement with Dayot Upamecano

Real Madrid has allegedly secured a verbal accord with Dayot Upamecano, the defender from Bayern Munich.

Contract Situation

The 27-year-old player is set to become a free agent at the end of the current season as negotiations for a contract extension at the Allianz Arena have stalled.

As per information from the French source Foot Mercato, Upamecano has consented to join Real Madrid, who are in the market for new defensive players. Although he cannot officially formalize a contract with any team until January 1st, the interest is also directed towards Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konate by Xabi Alonso’s side.

It has been noted that Konate, who is under contract until 2027, is seeking a transfer to the Spanish club.
